PCS Global Achieves ISO 27001:2022 Certification

A landmark milestone for our team, our clients, and Fiji's growing reputation as a world-class outsourcing destination.

At PCS Global, we have always believed that trust is the foundation of every successful outsourcing partnership. When a business entrusts its operations, data, and customers to an offshore team, there can be no room for ambiguity about how that information is protected. That belief drove us to pursue — and achieve — ISO 27001:2022 certification in February 2025.

ISO 27001:2022 Certified — International Standard for Information Security Management

Why This Certification Matters

ISO 27001:2022 is the internationally recognised benchmark for information security management systems (ISMS). It is not a self-assessment or a checklist exercise. Earning this certification means that an independent, accredited body has verified that an organisation's security controls, policies, and processes meet a rigorous global standard.

For our clients — primarily businesses in New Zealand and Australia — this provides independent assurance that the data they share with our Fiji-based teams is governed by the same security framework trusted by enterprises worldwide. It covers 93 key controls spanning data encryption, risk assessment, business continuity planning, and cyber threat management.

The Road to Certification

This was not an overnight achievement. Our certification journey began in August 2024, when we engaged global consultancy TopCertifier to guide the process. Over the months that followed, our team worked through an intensive programme of audits, policy development, and staff training that touched every part of the business.

We overhauled access controls, formalised incident response procedures, strengthened our data handling protocols, and introduced new monitoring systems. Every team member — from operations staff to senior leadership — participated in security awareness training designed to embed a "security by design" mindset into our daily work.

Achieving ISO 27001:2022 was not just about passing an audit. It was about fundamentally changing how every person at PCS thinks about information security — making it part of our culture, not just our compliance paperwork.

What It Means for Our Clients

For the businesses we partner with, this certification delivers practical, tangible benefits:

  • Independent verification — Your data is protected by controls that have been audited and certified by a third party, not just self-declared.
  • Regulatory alignment — Many industries in New Zealand and Australia require suppliers to demonstrate compliance with recognised security frameworks. ISO 27001:2022 satisfies this requirement.
  • Reduced risk — Comprehensive controls across encryption, access management, business continuity, and threat detection reduce the likelihood and impact of security incidents.
  • Confidence to scale — Clients who may have been cautious about expanding their offshore operations now have a certified framework underpinning the security of their data.

Raising the Bar for Fiji's BPO Sector

We are proud that this achievement also contributes to the broader story of Fiji as a credible, secure outsourcing destination. Josefa Wivou, Executive Director of Outsource Fiji, has noted that certifications like this help position the Pacific region as a genuine alternative to traditional offshore markets.

PCS Global was founded in New Zealand by Yogesh and Sangita Chand with a clear vision: to build a BPO operation in Fiji that could compete on quality, security, and professionalism with providers anywhere in the world. This certification is a significant step toward that goal, and it places us among an elite group of Fijian firms meeting global compliance standards.

Looking Ahead

Earning the certification was a milestone, but maintaining it is an ongoing commitment. ISO 27001:2022 requires continuous monitoring, regular internal audits, and periodic recertification. We have built the systems and the culture to sustain this standard — and to keep improving.

If you are evaluating offshore staffing partners and information security is a priority (as it should be), we welcome the conversation. Our certification is not a marketing badge — it is a reflection of how we operate, every day.
